Coding & Robotics Classes
What to expect from BOTZEES in the classroom
Introducing coding and robotics to children can be a challenge, especially for teachers and parents who aren’t familiar with the latest technological developments. BOTZEES has combined the latest advancements in ed-tech with research to make innovative, educational products. These products and lesson guides have been developed by ECD experts to make the often complex subject easy to grasp for young learners.
The Botzees Coding and Robotics curriculum has been successfully implemented internationally. We have leveraged off of these successes and have tailored a weekly curriculum for pre-school and primary school classes in South Africa. The creative and open-ended nature of the project-based lessons accommodate various knowledge and skill levels.
Students with little knowledge of coding and robotics will learn the basics, while students who may already have knowledge of coding will have the opportunity to design and code more complicated programs and will be challenged to operate within design constraints.
Our Classes Include:
Botzees Classic
– STEM Learning, Lights, Sound, Movements, Motors & Sensors
– Project-based learning lesson plans suitable for pre-school and primary school learners
– More than 130 projects and free programming mode, unlimited learning coding
– Zoom in and out and view the building process from all angles and coding learning in our apps
Use Botzees in your classroom to introduce your students to the foundations of coding. Students will learn sequencing, looping, and conditional coding.
Botzees Classic In Your Classroom
Introduction to Coding
Students will build the Botzee Robot and program it with a simple movement.
Conditional Code and Sequencing
Students will build the Walrus Botzee and program it to perform a dance.
Looping
Students will build the Monkey Botzee and program it to play music.
Wait Code
Students will build the Alligator Botzee and program it to mimic a conversation.
Botzees Mini
– Introduces the fundamentals of computer programming to young children ages 3 and up
– Learn Coding and STEM with 4 pre-designed maps and engaging stories
– Provides an open-ended way for kids to customise a map and play
– Screen-Free, project-based learning lesson plans
Botzees Mini will foster the development of core computer science practices in your early elementary classroom. Botzees Mini lessons are designed to support teachers in helping young students get a headstart in the fundamentals of core computer science principles.
Botzees Mini In Your Classroom
Computer Science
Students will utilize awareness of cause and effect and if/then thinking to program a robot to move and perform a task.
Math
Students will practice adding numbers between 1 and 10, and understand the significance of “at least” and “no more than.”
Design
Students will engage in an iterative design process, testing and revising.
Collaboration
Students will collaborate using appropriate body language, i.e., facing each other and the task.
STEM Activities For The Classroom
Below are just some of the concepts children are actively trained on and exposed to when using Botzee toys:
